A hands-on workshop teaching digital skills to young people to enhance their employability. The workshop will cover web development basics, social media marketing, and essential digital literacy skills needed in today's job market.
The Youth Skills Development Workshop is a comprehensive training program designed to equip young Sierra Leoneans with practical digital skills that are in high demand in today's job market.
Workshop Objectives:
- Introduce participants to fundamental web development concepts
- Provide hands-on training in social media marketing and content creation
- Teach essential digital literacy and online collaboration tools
- Connect participants with mentors and potential employers
- Provide resources for continued learning and development
Who Should Attend:
This workshop is ideal for young people aged 18-30 who are looking to enhance their employability through digital skills acquisition. No prior technical knowledge is required, but basic computer literacy is recommended.
What to Bring:
Participants should bring their own laptops if possible. A limited number of computers will be available for those who don't have access to a personal device. All software used during the workshop will be free and open-source.
This workshop is part of BAN-SL's broader initiative to promote youth empowerment and economic participation in Sierra Leone.
